Ruth Ward Heflin once said, “In order to have deep, intimate worship you need to have enthusiastic, and energetic praise.” Our focus is on loving God with all our heart, strength, and mind. This speaks of involving our spirit [heart], our body [strength], and our soul [mind, will, and emotions].
Mindless, heartless, and motionless worship is not true, biblical, worship. David worshiped with all his might. His wife Michal despised him for it and remained barren her whole life.
We worship Him because He is worthy. We worship with instruments because it is Scriptural.
We clap, we shout, we sing, we bow, and we dance because we are commanded to in the Scriptures. |
