Sozo Ministry Print E-mail
Sozo ministry is one aspect of our Transformation Center. In the future we will introduce other aspects that will include but not be limited to: Trees of Life, soaking prayer for healing, and pastoral counseling.

Sozo is a Greek word meaning wholeness.

Sozo refers to the spirit, soul [mind, will and emotions] and body. Sozo is a Greek word that is often translated saved. We interpret that word to mean forgiveness. Many have reduced saved to only mean forgiven. Sozo includes forgiveness but goes much farther. In fact, forgiveness is not even a part of this word's definition. It mean wholeness - in spirit, soul [mind, will, and emotions] and body.

Our Sozo ministry is a low impact inner healing and deliverance ministry that attempts to get to the root of issues [lies we have believed], and bring in the light [truth, revelation] so that the person can be free. Jesus said, "You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free" [John 8:32]. Truth that is not known is useless. The Greek word for 'know' means to have an intimate, and personal encounter with the truth, as well as with the source of that truth. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life" [John 14:6]. He also said, "Your [Father's] word is truth" [John 17:17].

Sozo ministry is not a cure all but it is an effective tool for bringing freedom. As with most ministry, the Lord can only do what the individual will allow Him to do. So, if during a session it appears the person receiving ministry hits a wall and cannot go on, we close down the session with a prayer for all doors to be closed and for the Holy Spirit to continue ministering to them.

Some people get completely free after one session. Others have to have several. And still others have to have more in depth, and longer term counseling. Our goal is to bring as much freedom as we can, utilizing whatever Biblical methods that we can. Our ministers are not trained counselors, but have received training in Sozo minstry. Sozo ministry is not designed to perform those duties. People that need additional counseling will be referred to a pastor or some other person that can assist them further.

If you are interested in receiving Sozo ministry, or know someone that is, please contact Jean Campbell, or Lynne Wright at the church office and ask for an application.
