Isaiah 62:6 says this, “I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem. All day and all night they will never keep silent. You who remind the Lord take no rest for yourselves.”
Intercession is a vital part of any work for God. Intercession is not to be depressing but joyful. Jesus said, “My yoke is easy and my burden is light” [Matthew 11:30]. Everyone is called to intercede but not everyone is called an intercessor. Our intercessors pray without ceasing for the work we are called to do. As watchmen, they have the grace to see into the unseen and carry that information in such as way that brings liberty and victory. The reason for this is they have the mind of Christ and understand they are not alone in their ministry. Jesus is the one who ever lives to intercede for us [them]. Our intercessors meet thirty minutes to an hour prior to each service.
